Purpose of the Japan–China–Korea Foresight Program

This program aims to build a world-class research hub in Asia, with Japan, China, and Korea at its core, by enabling research institutions in the three countries to collaborate on: (1) world-leading academic research, (2) research that contributes to solving issues common to the region, and (3) the development of outstanding early-career researchers. Even after the funding period under this program ends, the hub institutions are expected to continue their activities as a world-class research center in the Asian region.
