With some selected universities, the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) make agreements on the Collaborative Graduate School, having the NIES scientists as faculty members (e.g., adjunct professors) at these universities. As adjunct professors, the NIES scientists mentor graduate students and provide research guidance for MSc and/or PhD degrees. This system allows graduate students to utilize facilities within NIES for their research in making their dissertations.
The Global Atmospheric Chemistry Laboratory at Nagoya University's Graduate School of Environmental Studies, where Dr. Tanimoto serves as an adjunct professor, is currently seeking prospective students for enrollment.
