A3 Foresight Program 2026 International Workshop: Shanghai and Ningbo

The A3 Foresight Program 2026 International Workshop was held in Shanghai and Ningbo, China, from April 19 to 22, 2026. Researchers participating in the A3 Foresight Program from China, Japan, and Korea attended the workshop.

On April 20, an academic workshop was held in Shanghai, with presentations and discussions covering a broad range of topics related to the A3 Foresight Program, including ecosystem greenhouse gas exchange, carbon cycling, remote sensing, and data integration. The workshop also provided an opportunity for the participating groups from China, Japan, and Korea to share updates on their A3 activities and exchange views on future collaborative research.

On April 21, the participants visited the Zhejiang Tiantong Forest Ecosystem National Observation and Research Station (TINAS) in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. During the field excursion, participants learned about long-term ecosystem research and flux observations conducted in the subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest at the station.

The workshop provided an opportunity for researchers from the three countries to share research progress and strengthen communication and collaboration within the A3 Foresight Program.
